Established in 1971, R.A. Langheinrich Meteorites is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious meteorite businesses. Owner R. Allan Langheinrich is a noted paleontologist and meteorite specialist. Both meteorite and fossil specimens with an R.A. Langheinrich provenance can be seen in many of the world's most celebrated institutions and museums.
Allan has worked closely with the American Museum of Natural History (New York), The Smithsonian Institution (Washington, D.C.), the Natural History Museum (London), The Royal Ontario Museum (Toronto), and others, and is also a noted expert on the preparation and conservation of meteorites and fossils.
2008 marks the R.A. Langheinrich Meteorites' twenty-ninth consecutive Tucson show and their fifth time as an exhibitor at the Westward Look Mineral Show.
At the 2008 Westward Look show, expect one of the finest displays of meteorites in the world, including vintage specimens from renowned collections (complete with documentation and original collection numbers), historic witnessed falls, and other rare and unique specimens.
Allan is also the founder of the Langheinrich Fossil Preserve, a not-for-profit educational facility dedicated to the study and preservation of Eurypterus remipes — the state fossil of New York. |
